AH/RE

I had some fragrances on my to-try list (Lemon Verbena being one of them), and after reading some reviews, decided to order from Aroma Haven/Rustic Escentuals.  This was my first time ordering from them, and I'm happy to report a good experience with them as well...no problems with the order and timely shipping.  The only bummer was that I forgot to get beeswax!  I have a small block of it, but don't enjoy shredding it....the little pellets are much easier to work with.  Ah well.

Thought I'd take a picture of their "thank you" gifts...what a nice touch:

When I opened up the package, the extra goodies were sitting on top.  A postcard, pen, candy, and a tea light...scented in Patchouli Rain.  I had to go back to their website and check to see if it's skin-safe, and it is.  I was VERY surprised at how good it smells (Patchouli scares me a little)...going to have to add this one to my list!  Also, when you place an order, you get to choose two free sample fragrances (I included them in the picture)...I picked Amazon Mist and Sea Salt Yuzu...mmm!  Very pleased with them...will definitely order from them again.

* Just want to quick mention that I'm now on FaceBook (Sodak Soaper). I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to achieve with it yet, but everyone seems to be doing it, lol.  It's a little slow-going, as I'm still finding my way around things.  Feel free to stop by! :)

    2. Fragrances and colorants are nightmare to find. I got some micas and pigments from Germany, next time I will get f.o-s as well, but it is frustrating, cos it's an import job which increases prices. You're so lucky to have such a great buying options there!

    1. It smells really good! The CP note on it says that it accelerates and discolors to a light yellow. I will save this one for last, lol.

  5. I completely and totally LOVE Rustic Essentials. They are a wonderful company. They are fast, have great quality products, and go out of their way to be helpful and encouraging on their Facebook page. Patchouli Rain is a huge fan favorite. Everyone loves it! It's so unique and I know I need to rename it because the patchouli is scary to some people. It does move along quite well. The first time I soaped it, I still broke it into 4 colors and plopped it in the mold. This last time though it did rice on me. So I dunno! But I love it!

  6. Rustic Essentials is a great company. I ordered a bunch of one ounce fragrances and was very happy with them. I remember liking lemon verbena and their Satsuma is amazing. I have a running list going now. Great free samples from them too! Great to see you on Facebook. I'm in the process of getting a page started too. Like you, I don't know what I'm trying to achieve other than an outlet for my photos and thoughts for the day! Can't bore my non soaping friends with all that stuff! LOL!

    1. I will put Satsuma on my list as well, thanks! That is too funny...one of the reasons why I wanted to start a FB Page was so that I could keep my soap stuff separate (and not bore my non soaping friends either), LOL!

  7. So glad you liked Rustic!I recently got hired there to work in the warehouse, and as a soaper I feel like I'm always ducking around and infiltrating, LOL. It's great, because I get to sniff things before I buy them. My coworkers are awesome, and I think they think that my obsessiveness with the soapmaking stuff is kind of dorky (it's all good fun though) -- because I see the things they're about to put on the product line and freak out and get excited and order it the day it's added! Haha. :) Honestly, I haven't smelled something from them that I don't like yet!

  8. I have ordered from Rustic for years for my soy candle stuff and their service has always been 1st rate! They have always included those goodies, the tealight is a new addition, I got one this time as well. I ordered my first M & P from them a couple weeks ago and got the Sea Salt Yuzu and BOY it smells great in the Goat Milk soap! The other amazing thing about them, in wax alone I have 18 pounds in package and their shipping is $15. I really want to try Bramble Berry, but their shipping is killer. I still need mica's. All of your soaps are lovely!
