rosemary mint

After the last package of soap supplies arrived, Rosemary Mint was the first fragrance I used (this fragrance was in that package). I've been looking forward to trying this one, and what a refreshing scent it is!  I wanted to make it the palest green too, so I went with the Chromium Green Oxide that I purchased from Coastal Scents.  There's unrefined cocoa butter in the batch, so the oils were very yellow.  I added color a little at a time until the batter took on a green tint, then stopped...I didn't want to overdo it. The bars kind of look gray in the photo, but they're pale green (snowy day).

I also tried out my new acrylic bar planer, but it didn't go so well.  This batch didn't gel, so the bars were real soft...and I was too excited to use the planer.  I tried a few bars on it and there was no control, as best as I can describe it (you can see in the photo below, the right sides are a little curved).  I waited a couple of more days for the bars firm up and had better results with the planer.

    1. Thanks Jenny! I really like eucalyptus and spearmint, so thought rosemary mint would be the next to try. I think this one's a keeper too!
