orange mocha soap

I really like BB's Turkish Mocha...however, this time I added orange EO to it.  I've added orange EO to Chocolate Espresso before and really liked it, so thought I'd try it with Turkish Mocha.  Oh, and I added greek yogurt to this batch too.

I knew it was going to discolor to a dark brown, so I reserved a portion of the soap batter and colored it with orange mica (no fragrance added).  Then I poured them, alternating, into the mold.  After pouring, I gave a quick whirl with a spoon. The orange mica part looks pink in the picture, but it's actually more peachy/light orange.

after one week (I cut the textured top off of one bar)

In other news, I bought two silicone molds I found in the Halloween clearance section for $1.75 each. I'm sure they'll come in handy some day!

  1. I've never smelled Turkish Mocha and while it sounds delicious, mixed with orange sounds over-the-top good! And it came out beautifully, too--I love those colors.

    1. Thanks! It smells sooo good...the orange adds some sweetness to it and makes it better, I think. It's one of those soaps where you just want to take a bite out of it, lol.

  4. Turkish Mocha and Orange EO sound great together! I love how your soap turned out, too. I have some orange mica and it's good to know that it turns out peach/light orange in CP. And good score on the Halloween molds! Sometimes I have to stop myself from buying every silicone pan I see.

  5. thanks Jenny! I'm very satisfied with the orange mica. I haven't achieved a bold bright orange with it, but it's perfectly fine...I tend to favor lighter colors anyway when I soap. I know what you mean, lol...I was at another store the other day and saw a really cute gingerbread man silicone mold. I didn't get it...but so tempting!!
