omh+lavender

This was certainly an unexpected scent combo.  I was searching in a soap forum for a eucalyptus blend and came across lavender with oatmeal, milk and honey.  This combo sounded very intriguing, so I tried them together by doing the "toothpick test".  Wow, I was very surprised.  Forget the eucalyptus blend for now, I'm going to make lavender omh!

I kept the batch pretty simple...only bentonite clay and colloidal oatmeal were added.  I hope it doesn't discolor too much after cure time!

  2. Such a nice soap! I would have never thought to put lavender and OMH together, what a great idea! As much as I love OMH, it would be nice to change it up every once in a while.

    1. thanks Cee Gee! I never would have thought to put them together either...just stumbled across it. I like omh but it's a little too sweet for me..the lavender mellows it out.

  3. I love this pure white colour,it's one of my favourites. And the essential oil- lavender- suits this colour very well.

    1. thank you Natalia! I really like the color too. The OMH fragrance discolors to a light tan...I hope that with blending it with the lavender that it doesn't discolor too much. :)

    1. Thanks Maya! My husband even commented on how good it smelled (he usually doesn't say much about my soap, just likes to use it)!

    1. I think you'll like it, Anne-Marie! The best I can describe it is relaxing (lavender) and comforting (omh)...I say "mmm" every time I smell the soap bars! :)
