soap gifts

School will be ending in just a couple of days, so I put together a couple of little gift packages (soap) for the teachers.  I've been making my bars a little smaller (three inches wide) and two of them fit perfectly in a glassine bag.  I made small tags out of scrapbook paper and had my boys each write a message inside...then used twine to secure the tag and package together.

* underneath the tag, I punched a couple of holes in the glassine bag so the soap could breathe a little.

  1. What a lovely idea for a teacher's gift! The soaps look so pretty packaged in the glassine bag. The handwritten note is a nice touch, too. I'm sure your sons' teachers will love them!

  2. This is such a fab idea.
How did you punch the holes in was it with a normal punch, Also do you happen to know if you can keep soap in glassine bags indefinitely.
Thanks so much appreciate your help and loving the blog.

    1. Thank you! :) Yes, I just used a normal hole puncher. This was the first time I used the glassine bags for soap packaging, but my guess is that they would be fine..as long air can get in there. Also, the glassine bags I got are "food-safe". HTH!!
