lavender orange eucalyptus

Nothing fancy with this batch...just wanted to experiment with different blends again.  This time I used lavender, orange and eucalyptus.  It's been a week and the scent has mellowed just a little bit, but this is also a good one!  Mmmm!  The color is from the oils used...and I also added a titch of ground chamomile.

I should also add that I didn't get any ash with this batch. I sprayed the top with alcohol and put cling wrap over the top (but not touching the soap) and then insulated.  I thought I'd get ash because of the lavender, but didn't.

  1. I love these unfancy (is there such a word?)batches of soap, and that eo blend sounds very interesting.

  2. Pretty soaps! Lavender, orange, and eucalyptus sound wonderful together, too. I just ordered a bunch of EOs (even though I already have too many FOs and EOs) so I can play around more with blends. I've been keeping a notebook of blend ideas for months - time to start putting some together!

    1. thanks! I used a hint of eucalyptus and glad I did...it was just enough and not overpowering. This blending thing is kinda fun, as long as it results in a good-smelling soap, ha!
